A very beautiful, large antique English oil painting from the late Victorian era. The work is by the well known and highly regarded painter, Henry Cooper, who was painting between 1890-1930. The painting depicts this romantic and tranquil river cottage scene, with a lone figure in his wooden punt. An old church stands in the distance and it is a charming scene indeed; the work presented in its original Victorian gilt swept frame with ornate mouldings and design.
