About the Item
The painting conveys a delicate, almost ghostly cityscape, painted with thick, relief strokes. The artist uses pastel, muted tones—pinkish gray, cream, light blue—that create a feeling of fog or morning haze.
In the center of the composition is the silhouette of ancient architecture: towers, spires, and multi-story buildings that seem to dissolve into the air. The lines are softly blurred, the contours tremble, making the city seem semi-real, like a memory or a dream.
At the bottom, you can see a bridge with several arches. Below them is calm water, where small boats move almost imperceptibly. The reflection, like the entire landscape, is conveyed with light, almost elusive strokes.
The texture of the paint is very expressive: the surface of the painting is rough, voluminous, with thick impasto, which adds light reflections and depth. Thanks to this, the image looks as if it is growing out of the canvas.
The overall impression is one of softness, silence, and melancholic elegance. It is like a calm, almost fairy-tale city, frozen in the morning light.
