Beautiful 19th century frame in gilded wood
Jacques Odier is a swiss painter . But he studied with Harpignies and exhibited at the Salon des Artistes Français in Paris at the end of the 19th century. In 1889 he won a bronze medal at the Universal Exhibition. Initially close to the realistic painting of Harpignies as in our painting, Odier will then evolve towards a more modern style and colors.
