An evocative mid-19th century seascape, attributed to James Edwin Meadows (1828-1888), depicting fishermen hauling in a net from a small sailboat. Soft light pierces through grey, brooding clouds, casting shimmering reflections across the water as the shoreline stretches into the distance. Unsigned. Well presented in a decorative burr walnut frame. On board. Image size: 17.5 x 30cm.
