Modern realist landscape painting by Haitian artist Felix Defournoy. The work features small figures going about their daily routines set against a lush, green landscape of rolling hills and winding rivers. Signed by the artist in the front lower right corner. Currently hung in a light gold frame. Dimensions Without Frame: H 15.38” x W 23.63” Artist Biography: Felix Defournoy was born on October 23, 1952, in Petion-Ville, Haiti. He studied art at the Foyer des Art Plastiques. "Heirs to Indigenist realism, Defournoy excludes all forms of idealism to express the truth alone," says Gerald Alexis in his book "Peintres Haitiens."
