Description:
This work of art illustrates a peaceful rural landscape, dominated by three picturesque houses surrounded by lush greenery. The slate blue roofs contrast harmoniously with the light facades, accentuating the traditional architecture. Delicately painted trees frame the stage, their thin branches suggesting a gentle breeze. The wild flowers, with bright shades of pink and purple, add a touch of vibrant color to the green of the meadows. The diffused light of the pastel sky envelops the whole in a serene and timeless atmosphere. The technique used, close to Impressionism, is revealed through quick brush strokes and rich textures, giving the painting a sensation of movement and life. Biography :
Pierre Dubord was born in Rouen in 1949, and after spending years in the French countryside, he returned to his hometown to depict the environment of his youth. While Rouen is a favorite subject for his paintings, he often depicts Paris, the Normandy countryside, the beaches of Deauville and Houlgate, the cliffs of Caux and Étretat, and paintings along the Seine. He is known for his ability to capture the subtleties of light and color unique to each season in the manner of Jean Claude Monet (Impression, Sunrise, 1872). Dubord has his own approach to painting, depicting our modern society in a very pleasing and colorful way. For decades to come, he would remain a post-impressionist artist of the traditional French school, which is rare these days. His palette is rich in tone, fresh and uplifting. His work is well-regarded, earning him many prestigious awards. The painter's compositions, as varied as they are, reveal his own intense joy of life and his love for the rhythm of nature. In addition, they are distinguished by a nuanced use of color. The artist's mastery of the secrets of light trapped on these canvases and the very delicate poetry in his painting, can be attributed to the Impressionist masters, but it also carries a very personal touch. In 1970, he had his first exhibition of about thirty paintings in Rouen, a show that was highly appreciated by art critics. In addition to an annual show in Rouen, he has also exhibited in Bordeaux, Le Havre, La Rochelle, Osaka, Quebec, not to mention major and famous salons in Paris. One critic noted that Dubord is guided only by his heart and emotions.
