Born on 14 July 1834 in Geneva and passing away on 24 August 1898 in Montreux, Jequier hailed from the municipality of Fleurier in the canton of Neuchâtel.
Jequier's oeuvre predominantly features alpine scenes, capturing the serene beauty of mountainous terrains, glaciers, and rural life. Notable works include "Glacier de Trift," "Chalets à St-Luc," and "L'église réformée de Grindelwald."
