Vibrant miniature Big Sur seascape by Kathleen Murray (American, b. 1958). Signed "MURRAY" in the lower right corner. The rocks in this seascape have been formed with a pallet knife, adding texture and depth to the composition. No frame.
Kathleen Murray (American, b.1958) was born in Los Angeles, California. In the early 1970s, Murray spent three years in Europe studying art and languages at the American School in Switzerland (TASIS) and a year in Italy at St. Michael's School outside Florence.
She resides in the Monterey Bay where she is well known for her deeply saturated and textured oil seascapes and landscapes of Carmel, Big Sur, and surrounding Coastal areas.
