DESCRIPTION OF THE WORK
A luminous and vibrant painting depicting a Mediterranean lighthouse framed by the sea and distant mountains. The white tower, topped with a red lantern and a spherical finial, rises above a low building, conveying both serenity and architectural solidity.

ARTIST BIOGRAPHY
Kiku Poch (Barcelona, 1963) grew up in an artistic environment as the son of painters Francesc Poch Romeu and Josefina Ripoll. Largely self-taught, he began his career in illustration and graphic design before fully devoting himself to oil painting in 1993.
His work draws inspiration from the Mediterranean and other European landscapes such as Provence, Tuscany, and the Greek islands. In his early career, he stood out for luminous landscapes and seascapes; later, he evolved toward maritime compositions focusing on detailed elements (anchors, ropes, hulls) and, since 2019, toward underwater scenes featuring fish and marine life.
He lives between Barcelona and Menorca, where he spends long periods. He has exhibited in Spain, Japan, Hong Kong, and the United States, and is recognized as one of the leading Mediterranean landscape painters of his generation. His art blends the Catalan luminist tradition with a contemporary and vibrant visual language.
