A very beautiful signed and dated 1886 Danish oil on canvas depicting a coastal sunrise, by Laurits Bernhard Holst.
The work is exceptionally atmospheric, with cliffs bathed in hazy pink light and a masted ship on the horizon.
Superb quality and excellent condition work by this important Danish marine artist who exhibited regularly at the Royal Academy. Signed "L. Holst 86" lower left and presented in a swept frame.
