About the Item
Lionel Birch was a landscape and animal painter from the turn of the 19th to 20th century. He traveled throughout Europe painting and for a while lived in Florence Italy. Most of his English landscapes were of the Newlyn, Penzance, and Devon areas of England. He exhibited at the Royal Academy in London and other important galleries during his lifetime.
This is a wonderful example of the artist's work. It is in excellent condition and has been framed in an early 20th-century vintage English frame.
