This exceptional artwork is currently on display and available for sale at Signet Contemporary Art Gallery and online. In Through the Arches of Light, Luis Fuentes presents a serene architectural vista that opens onto an endless horizon, inviting the viewer into a space of calm, balance, and Mediterranean luminosity. Executed in oil on canvas, the painting reflects Fuentes’ refined realist approach, where precision and atmosphere work in quiet harmony. The repeated arches and columns create a strong sense of rhythm and symmetry, framing the sea beyond like a carefully composed stage. The tiled terrace, rendered with meticulous attention, anchors the composition while guiding the eye outward toward the open sky and water, blurring the boundary between constructed space and nature. The colour palette is fresh and radiant, dominated by luminous blues of sea and sky, contrasted with crisp whites and warm, sunlit creams of the architecture. Rich accents of coral pinks, emerald greens, and soft golds animate the patterned floor, adding decorative complexity without overwhelming the scene. Together, these colours evoke warmth, clarity, and light, giving the painting a timeless, almost dreamlike stillness that celebrates both place and perspective. Artist biography: Luis Fuentes, a native of Peru, was born in 1969 into a family deeply rooted in the world of art. Although his artistic journey initially led him to study architecture and fine arts at Escuela de Bellas Artes after completing high school, it didn’t take long for him to discover that his true passion lay in the world of painting. Luis’s dedication and unwavering commitment to honing his skills as a fine artist set him on a transformative path. As he delved further into the world of art, Luis Fuentes established an impressive international presence. He actively participated in art fairs, engaged in art residencies, and showcased his works in numerous solo exhibitions. It was during his formative years as a student that he made a remarkable breakthrough. In 1990, Luis secured first prize in the Peruvian National Watercolor Competition, a prestigious recognition that not only solidified his standing within the art community but also opened doors for him to exhibit his creations in galleries throughout his homeland. Today, Luis Fuentes enjoys a global following and is proudly represented by numerous prestigious galleries worldwide. His art is an alluring invitation to a serene world where the sea takes center stage. With a skillful brush and an innate ability to transport the viewer, he beckons us through open windows into the captivating realms of sand, rocks, and water, offering an idyllic and tranquil escape. A defining characteristic of Luis’s artwork is the compelling interplay between light and shadow. Each of his paintings showcases a harmonious blend of rich, intricate shadows and vibrant highlights, bestowing upon his work a mesmerizing illusion of reality. His preferred mediums include both watercolor and oil, through which he uses vivid, captivating colors to breathe life into oceanic imagery. Through his works, Luis invokes a profound sense of inner peace and tranquility, drawing viewers into the sweeping vistas that he so masterfully creates. The vivid colors and breathtaking imagery immediately immerse the observer, producing captivating, immersive contemporary art that lingers in the mind long after the gaze has left the canvas.

Robert Kenneth White "Sanctuary of the Sea" 2015 Oil of Imagined Classical Port
Located in Miami, FL
ROBERT KENNETH WHITE – "SANCTUARY OF THE SEA" ⚜ Oil on canvas ⚜ Hand signed on verso ⚜ Frameless display MYTHIC SEASCAPE WITH FANTASTICAL ARCHITECTURE In Sanctuary of the Sea (2015), Robert Kenneth White presents a visionary coastal realm—part ancient city, part imagined utopia. Classical domes and soaring towers rise from lush hillsides and rugged cliffs, their golden light and crisp detailing reminiscent of both Mediterranean antiquity and high fantasy world-building. Rich sapphire waters lap against stone piers as a sailboat makes its way through the tranquil harbor, offering a sense of scale and serenity. Executed in oil with White’s signature attention to atmospheric color and architectural clarity, this large-format landscape blends historical evocation with imaginative escape. The composition feels cinematic and immersive, balancing realism with reverie—inviting comparisons to romantic illustrators like Maxfield Parrish, the architectural surrealism of Simon Stålenhag, or the coastal visions of classical landscape painters. WHY COLLECT THIS WORK? ✓ Dreamlike coastal cityscape rendered in luminous oil technique ✓ Large, immersive horizontal format ideal for major feature walls ✓ Evokes timeless architectural fantasy with painterly realism ✓ A standout for collectors of Maxfield Parrish, James Gurney, or Thomas Cole ARTWORK DETAILS: ▸ Title: "Sanctuary of the Sea" ▸ Artist: Robert Kenneth White ▸ Medium: Oil on Canvas ▸ Year of Creation: 2015 ▸ Signature: Hand signed on verso ▸ Country of Origin: United States ▸ Dimensions: — ◼︎ Canvas Size: 19.75 x 39.5 inches ▸ Condition: Excellent ▸ Framing: Frameless Display – Ready to hang or frame INCLUDED DOCUMENTATION ✓ Certificate of Authenticity ✓ Artist Biography Document THE ARTIST: Robert Kenneth White is known for his richly imagined compositions that merge classical realism with visionary storytelling. Turner, while his symbolic, storybook environments resonate with fans of Roger Dean...
