In this wonderful oil on board Allegretti, a follower of the Posillipo School, expresses his passion for the classical Neapolitan artistic tradition. The artist has a high level technique that allows him to obtain a perfect naturalistic rendering, especially in the representation of genre scenes, landscapes or portraits of animals. Everything is depicted with great attention to detail. His pictorial action is very objective, avoiding any form of pictorialism and proposing an evident plasticism consolidated by a very solid drawing structure. Over all this the light spreads with warm glows on the surface of the water.
