About the Item

Masri Hayssam (Lebanese, Italian, born 1965) "Nel Bosco" 1999 Oil paint on canvas, stretcher bars Signed by the artist on the bottom right corner of the painting. "Nel Bosco" is an evocative piece by Masri, created in 1999, that immerses the viewer in the dense, atmospheric interior of an Italian forest. The composition is built through vigorous, layered brushwork and a richly textured surface, where deep greens, earthy browns, and flashes of ochre and blue suggest filtered light moving through trees and undergrowth. Rather than describing the forest, Masri captures its feeling, movement, and quiet intensity. Influenced by post-impressionist and expressionist traditions, his landscapes prioritize emotion, rhythm, and painterly gesture over precise detail. "Nel Bosco" is a strong example of his late-20th-century landscape work and will appeal to collectors drawn to expressive European landscapes, original oil paintings, and artists whose work bridges observation and emotion. About the Artist: Masri is a passionate Italian, US-based artist whose work has been exhibited in the USA, the UK, Germany, Lebanon, Italy, and Norway. His work is varied and known especially in Europe and in Major collections - Ellen DeGeneres, Ringo Starr, Al Gore, and many more. Harnessing an insatiable desire for artistic discovery, innovation, and perfection, he dives into experimentation with openness and enthusiasm. As a result, his works are bright, expansive, and bold. Masri has developed a style that captures the Middle Eastern mood with a Lucien Freud brush touch. This style is completed with palette work, as the artist often goes into a trance-like state when creating these powerful expressions of the human experience. Artist statement: "I live four seasons every day - it is a humongous world of perceptions, conceptions, and achievements; a world of renewable psychological input and output fraught with flowing emotions, endurance, and pain. " The painting comes with a certificate of authenticity and a letter of appraisal.

Y.Sida’s work at the start was mainly dealing with popular Egyptian themes. We can distinguish Sida’s work through his power of using primary colors in its purest form directly in the tubes without being mixed with other colors. Also, we can notice in his work a tendency towards the qualities and techniques of children’s art. In his later years, Sida began experimenting with Arabic Calligraphy by concentrating on the forms and shapes that are dominant in the popular Egyptian motives and décor. We can witness the dynamism in his Arabic calligraphy work. Sida is also known for his huge murals...
