Original 1970's oil painting depicting a small chalet in the Swiss Alps by Emma E. Meiklejohn (American, 20th C). Snow covered mountains serve as the focal point, with a small white chalet seen in front. Two pine trees sit to the left of the chalet. Tones of whites and blues emulsify the mountains and sky, while hues of light greens make up the grass beneath.
Signed "Meiklejohn" lower right.
Presented in a distressed wood frame.
