Michele Falanga (1865-1937)
Falanga ha saputo unire la potenza della parola alla delicatezza dell’immagine.
Artigiano, poeta, letterato ha dedicato la sua vita artistica prima alla scrittura, facendo della parola
il principale strumento per esprimere la sua visione del mondo, per poi avvicinarsi alla pittura solo
a partire dagli anni ‘20.
La sua arte, tanto visiva
quanto letteraria, diventa una riflessione sociale e personale continua, in un periodo storico di
continuo cambiamento. Michele Falanga abbraccia le innovazioni prospettiche dell’aeropittura,
interpretandole con una sensibilità e un’impronta del tutto personali. La sua figura emerge come
testimone di un clima storico e culturale ben definito, ma anche come protagonista di un’avventu-
ra artistica unica che si colloca con forza nel contesto del futurismo tra le due guerre.

una visione unica e intima. Le sue opere rappresentano una fusione tra arte, storia e territorio
attraverso un supporto apparentemente semplice ma altrettanto potente: la carta di giornale.
