Born in 1859 in Villanova Geltru (Catalonia). Died in 1930 in Paris
Credited in France from 1902.
Painter of lively urban landscapes. Postimpressionnist
After having attended private Workshops, he was pupil of the Lonja Art schools in Barcelona. In 1886 and 1887, he completed his formation in Paris. Going back in Spain he is named drawing-master at the Technical school of Vilanova Geltru. He exhibited to Paris Fair from 1899 to 1903. He settled in Paris in 1902 and exhibited by 1904 at the Drouot Hotel. He specializes in the sights of the Capital and practise a chromatic technique postimpressionnist chromatic technique. The keys of color constitute at the same time the drawing with an elliptic virtuosity which reaches a real audacity in certain landscapes inspired of Brussels or Venice, cities he visited in the 1920’s.
