THE WATERFALL - Oil on canvas cm. 40x50 by Paolo De Robertis, Italy 2011.
To create this beautiful painting, De Robertis drew inspiration from the natural landscapes of the French painter Gustave Colbert, who was also an excellent landscape painter, considering nature as one of his main sources of inspiration.
A stream flows between the rocks free from vegetation in the middle of the undergrowth.
On the right a small waterfall descends from a rocky spur and falls down forming a small basin between the rocks.
