The flowers create a lively tapestry, contrasted against the deep blue of a tranquil sea. In the background, gently rolling hills rise, depicted with earthy tones that provide balance to the composition. A sailboat glides across the water, adding a sense of movement and adventure to the scene. The sky is painted in calming shades of blue, seamlessly merging with the horizon. Natalia Makarova and Yuri Possokhov were often guests at Irina's Russian Christmas and Easter parties.

In 1965 she undertook private study with two prominent Russian painters, including Serge Ivanoff; she executed a portrait of her two masters. She cherished her portrait as executed by Serge Ivanoff.
