In this piece, Samir Farah reflects on the quiet charm of one of his favourite places in south Brittany — the seaside town of Carnac and its beach. Although he has spent countless hours there over the years, it wasn’t until April 2025 that he encountered the ice cream seller with his colourful tricycle, a moment that sparked this painting. The beach was almost empty that morning, and Farah sought to capture the early serenity of the shoreline, paired with the subtle, fleeting activity of the scene. The work evokes the gentle rhythm of coastal life and the beauty found in small, passing moments by the sea.
