Sheryl Roberts, painter, is available for sale online and in our gallery at Wychwood Art. Sheryl is an award winning contemporary landscape artist. Dubbed “the Turner of the North”, Sheryl’s vision of tempestuous skies and chaotic landscapes has earned her international acclaim. Sheryl’s unique vision of the dramatic light penetrating the vast skies is recognisable as her distinctive style. Sheryl has been painting professionally since 1999 and divides her time between her studios in Leeds and Weardale, County Durham. Sheryl draws her inspiration from the windswept high moors of the North Pennines and aims to capture the communication between the skies and the landscape. “I paint mainly in oils - layering gradually with brushes and knives to build up vibrancy and depth to each piece. Despite using a very classical composition and traditional technique, I aim to capture a very contemporary feel.”
