Born in 1980, Song Shuyu is a leading figure in contemporary Chinese watercolor painting. His work has received multiple national awards, including the Excellence Award at the 9th National Fine Arts Exhibition and honors at the China Art Golden Color Award and the National Watercolor Painting Exhibitions. His paintings, including Morning Dream and New Miner, are held in the collection of the National Art Museum of China.
In 2024, his solo exhibition “Only the Distant Mountains” at the Ningbo Art Museum was recognized by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism as an outstanding national museum project, highlighting fifteen years of creative development and research.
