About the Item
Series: "The Non-Silent Plants"
In this series, I turn to the quiet yet essential moment — the blooming of vegetable plants that form the foundation of human nutrition. These blossoms are fleeting, fragile, and often unnoticed, yet they mark the beginning of the fruit that sustains us. Their pollination by bees is an invisible ritual of survival — one increasingly threatened by climate change, biodiversity loss, and aggressive agriculture.
I depict the flowers of zucchini, eggplants, tomatoes — not as illustrations, but as symbols. This is nature’s whispered prayer to humanity: don’t lose what feeds you. Each flower is an act of interaction between plant, insect, light, soil, and time. It is a dialogue in which plants are no longer silent — they speak of their role, their needs, their fragility.
The title “The Non-Silent Plants” emphasizes that nature is always speaking to us — we have simply forgotten how to listen. If we don’t learn to hear these voices now, future archaeologists may only find traces of crops that never ripened, and pollen with nowhere left to land.
This series is not only about plants. It is about our capacity to live in dialogue with the world. About the culture of care. About edible moments of life.

Ukrainian figurative artist Tetiana Adamovich, born in 1980 in Kyiv, Ukraine, completed her education at the College of Economy in 1998. Since 2016, she has been actively engaged in painting, and exploring watercolor and oil media. Tetiana considers issues of Archeology of the Future adding traditional motifs in the form of embroidery to his works as a tribute to the culture of his ancestors. Works with painting on canvas. Primary media are acrylic, oil, and watercolor. Actively pursues her artistic practice, and sells her paintings.
