T.M. Nicholas
T.M. Nicholas (b. 1963) is a distinguished American landscape painter celebrated for his luminous depictions of New England towns, coastal harbors, and pastoral countryside vistas. The son of acclaimed artist Tom Nicholas, N.A., he has carried forward a proud artistic legacy while developing a style uniquely his own—marked by vibrant color, confident brushwork, and an extraordinary ability to capture the transient light and atmosphere of each season. A lifelong resident of Cape Ann, Massachusetts, Nicholas paints extensively throughout Vermont, Maine, and the New England coastline, translating the charm and character of small-town America into timeless works of art. Deeply influenced by the American Impressionist School, his paintings combine compositional structure with expressive, painterly movement, resulting in works that are both technically refined and emotionally resonant. Nicholas has earned numerous honors from the Rockport Art Association
Museum, the Guild of Boston Artists, and leading plein air exhibitions throughout the Northeast. His work is represented in private, corporate, and institutional collections nationwide, admired for its authenticity, warmth, and enduring sense of place—qualities that affirm his position among the leading painters continuing the rich Cape Ann and New England landscape tradition.

"Being There" Original Oil Painting by Robert White, Frameless Display
Located in Encino, CA
“Being There,” an original oil on canvas by Robert K. White, is a piece for the true collector. White’s careful attention to detail and vivid use of browns and reds project from the painting, immediately capturing the viewer's attention and highlighting the artist's keen ability to capture emotion and life - all in a brushstroke. White's talent for depicting light and shadow provides the foundation for him to deliver subjects and scenes to the viewer's eye. This masterful work would make a great addition to an art collection and enhance most any home, perfect for those who have an affinity for cityscapes, theater, and architecture.
In the artist’s own words, “I don’t paint what is inside of me; I paint what I see outside of me. I’m an observer. If I see something and I feel an affinity for it, something just clicks in my head. I’ll make the decision right then and there to paint that particular subject during that particular moment. It’s a perfect moment. Once something has caught my eye and I’ve heard the “perfect” click, it’s like a photograph has been taken in my mind’s eye. I only have a few days of clarity with that image. I have to start the painting quickly or else it will be gone and I will lose that image forever.”

Winter Landscape, Pennsylvania
Oil on canvas, 18 x 24 inches
FRAMED: 27 x 33 inches (approx.)
Thomas Birch was born in Warwickshire, England, son of the enamel and miniature painter William Russell Birch (1755-1834). He and his father settled in Philadelphia in 1794 and produced popular sets of engravings that documented the city's growth such as The City of Philadelphia (1800) and Country Seats (1808). Thomas Birch began to paint portraits around 1806, and soon gravitated to the subjects that made him famous, landscapes, winter scenes, and marine scenes.
Birch also painted numerous winter scenes throughout his career, perhaps influenced by the popularity of sleighing and skating in Philadelphia. His landscapes represented the more rustic tradition of English painting and although the subject matter was either the Pennsylvania of New Jersey countryside, Birch’s imagination was oriented toward seventeenth century Dutch painting as he was influenced by artists Jan van Goyen and Salomon van Ruysdael.
Birch frequently exhibited his work at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts and the Artists’ Fund Society, formed in 1835. His art was influential in the later development of the Hudson River School of painting and the style of romantic realism...
