Tom Yost is a very skilled contemporary landscape painter. His talents are multifaceted, as he also works well with conserving and repairing paintings. Tom Yost
Tom Yost was born and raised in Portland, OR. He went to Oregon State University to major in geology and soon get a job in the oil industry. He moved up in corporate to become an exploration geologist. He enjoyed his corporate job, but was truly fascinated with painting and the fine arts. In 1988, he moved to New York City to apprentice in his siblings art conservation business. His background in painting and studio arts gave him the skills needed for this job. He opened up his own conservation studio in 1990 named Yost Painting Restoration in New York. His list of clients included well known collectors, galleries, and museums. He relocated his business to Connecticut as Yost Conservation LLC until he sold the company in 2022 to fully pursue his art career. "Recognized by juried awards and holdings in both museums and numerous private collections, Tom's highly regarded realism and carefully crafted images reflect the refinement and skill of an emerging American master."
