This charming early 20th century piece is an excellent example of French impressionist landscape paintings at this time. Using a muted colour palette the artist has created a dynamic, textured study through their gestural brushwork and flowing forms. A small figure can be seen in the clearing to the centre of the composition. Unsigned. well presented in original moulded frame with a cotton slip. On canvas on stretchers.
