Mountain Landscape with Wildflowers in the Marsh in Acrylic on Canvas Lush landscape by unknown central California coast artist Maria Pavao Hadsell (Portugal/American, 20th Century). The viewer stands at the edge of a marshy area, filled with yellow and red wildflowers, with patches of water and wet ground throughout. As the landscape begins to slope upward in the distance, the vegetation is green, with a few trees. A road follows the curve of the mountain, towering above the landscape. A few grey and white clouds drift through the blue sky. Maria Pavao Hadsell was born in Portugal and is mostly a self taught artist originally from Portugal. Later she immigrated to the USA and lived in Massachusetts, then she moved to Sunnyvale, California. Studied watercolor in Italy, and with Los Gatos artist William Wray Signed "M Pavao" on verso. No frame, but the edges are painted for a frame-less display. Canvas size: 20"H x 24"W
