About the Item
Receding Snow is an original oil onto canvas by Russian painter Victor Egorov. It depicts the turning of seasons as Egorov details the receding snow from the clearings within the woodland. Egorov's realist style remains influenced by the traditional methods at the renowned Academy of Fine Arts and by the 19th Century Russian masters such as Korovin and Levitan, though his most favourite artist remains John Constable. Belgravia Gallery's colleciton of artworks by Egorov display the seasons from winter through to springtime, showcasing the Russian artist's talent at brilliantly capturing the atmosphere of various landscapes and the great outdoors.
