Oil on Canvas by Fortunato Pirazzini (1907-2003), School of Paris, c. 1950 - "Sleeping Woman, Nude". This captivating oil painting, titled "Sleeping Woman, Nude", was created by Fortunato Pirazzini (1907–2003), a distinguished Italian artist associated with the School of Paris. Executed around 1950, it showcases Pirazzini's signature blend of sensuality and classical elegance, depicting a serene reclining female nude. The piece is signed "F. Pirazzini" in the lower left corner and is titled on the back (see photos).

Born in Bagnacavallo, Italy, Pirazzini moved to France in 1937, adopting the name Fortuné. He was an active exhibitor at the Salon des Indépendants and gained recognition for his evocative portrayal of the human form. In 1987, he bequeathed a significant collection of his works to the Museum of Bagnacavallo, which includes a self-portrait. Pirazzini passed away in 2003.
