Large Nude, Female Nude, Large Nude Portrait, Original Oil Painting, Vintage Oil Painting,
Large 1960's female reclining nude by renown French artist, Georges Pierre Guinegault (1893 – 1952) who is famous for his nudes.
This fabulous oil on stretched canvas is signed in the bottom right. The artist has tastefully captured a brunette, her eyes closed as she lays on a bed. Hailing from the 1960's this original portrait painting would fit into any modern interior with its stunning grey hues and careful tonal qualities. It's a stunning composition that truly hasn't dated with a calming affect by a clever artist that could quite easily fill a large wall.

Georges-Pierre Guinegault (1893 – 1983)
This artist, from the Brittany region of France was born in Rennes on March 27, 1893 and died in Dinard on July 26, 1983
Georges was a student at the School of Fine Arts in Rennes. In 1913 he won a prize in the general competition for decorative composition, “Bacon de Fenêtre”, organized by the Secretariat of State for Fine Arts at the National School of Fine Arts in Paris.
He was later a pupil of Eugène Delâtre at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Paris. To start his career, Guinegault resided in Montparnasse where he rented a villa at 7 rue Jules Chaplain. In 1933, his studio was located on rue Dieulafoy.
He painted the landscapes of Paris, the Manche department, in particular The Hague, Brittany, the Riviera, the Pyrenees, the Beauce, the Basque Country (1948) as well as orientalist scenes during his stay in Morocco. He is well known for his paintings of nudes and is similar in style to Jean-Gabriel Domergue.
