Portrait of Joan Brown Bay Area Expressionist Seated Nude in Oil on Canvas Heavy impasto painting of a seated nude woman (Joan Brown) by Honora Berg (American, 1897-1985). Bold depiction of a nude woman with dark hair. She is sitting in a dark blue chair, body slightly angled towards the viewer. The wall behind her is a deep red. Both the chair and the model are made out of many small brushstrokes of varying colors, creating a pointillist feel.
