The artist Oleksandr Khrapachov first worked outdoors, inhaling the aromas of blooming gardens, and later completed his work in the workshop, where a model posed in front of him.
The picture was made in the premises of a Taoist temple in front of the symbol of the Mother - an image that embodies the feminine principle, fertility and protection. Soft, flowing strokes of oil paints convey the warmth of the spring air and the feeling of deep peace reigning in the temple. Academicism in combination with impressionism creates a harmonious balance between the clarity of details and the emotionality of the image.
