Pete Hawkins is a contemporary figurative painter based in Suffolk, UK, where the coastal landscape subtly informs the atmosphere of his work. A lifelong artist, Pete has been immersed in drawing, painting, and visual experimentation since early childhood. His artistic journey has taken him through a wide range of subjects and styles, each phase revealing new dimensions of his evolving vision. Though British by nationality, Pete was born in Panama City and raised across multiple countries, giving him a unique, globally informed perspective. This international upbringing is evident in the sensitivity and nuance of his storytelling through paint, often marked by a strong narrative undercurrent. In recent years, Pete has turned his focus toward the world of ballet—drawn to the emotional and physical discipline of the art form.
