Alessandro Pomi (1890–1976) was an Italian painter and decorator, born in Mestre on October 7, 1890, and passed away in Venice on March 27, 1976. He studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Venice under the guidance of Ettore Tito, dedicating himself especially to marine and landscape painting, but also to figure studies.
Pomi participated in various exhibitions in Italy and abroad, including Pittsburgh, London, Buenos Aires, Munich, Milan, Venice, and Treviso. Among his many works are a large altarpiece made in Sydney and paintings of the Way of the Cross for the Cathedral of Treviso.
His works have been featured in public auctions, with at least 33 recorded sales, primarily in the painting category. Notable pieces include Pigeon Meal and Portrait of a Man in Profile, reflecting his versatility in subject matter.
Alessandro Pomi's legacy endures through his contributions to 20th-century Italian art, with works held in both public and private collections.
