About Artist Adeyemi John Damilare, better known as Alogi John, is an artist from Lagos, Nigeria. His passion for art started at a very young age. After his elementary education, he started studying art by enrolling in an apprenticeship program at Talents art kingdom under the tutelage of his first master, Oyebola Olayinka Jacob OJ. To further his career in the art world, Alogi graduated in painting from the prestigious Yaba College of Technology in Lagos, Nigeria. After that, he interned at Olokun Studio under the tutelage and mentorship of Saheed Adelakun. Alogi represents his memories, inner emotions, history, and experiences in his works, which generally emphasize humor. His paintings have been featured in some group exhibitions in Nigeria, including "Life in my city" in 2018 and he was among the 10 finalists in a competition in Lagos in 2019. He is currently heard in several private collections.
