About the Artist:
Born in Bamako, Mali, in 1987, Bathily is a celebrated graduate of the National Institute of Arts (INA) and the Balla Fasséké Kouyaté Multimedia Arts and Crafts Conservatory (CAMM-BFK). His career began in a vibrant art recycling workshop, fostering his innovative approach to blending materials and themes. Bathily’s accolades include recognition as a laureate of the National City Talent Competition in 2017 and participation in the Kôrè-Qualité II art development program. His works have been exhibited internationally, including the prestigious "Art de la Lumière" exhibition in Tunisia.
Bathily’s artistic practice spans painting, sculpture, and installation, with a signature style that celebrates life’s rhythm and interconnectedness. His use of canvas and textiles transforms the ordinary into visual narratives of human experience and cultural identity.
