DESCRIPTION

ARTIST BIOGRAPHY
Antoni Valls Bordoy (Palma de Mallorca, 1909 – 1994) was a figurative painter connected to both the Mallorcan pictorial tradition and the Catalan artistic milieu. He trained at the School of Arts and Crafts of Palma and later in Barcelona, where he developed part of his career.
His work is characterized by a direct, post-impressionist language and themes centered on female figures, Mediterranean landscapes, and intimate interiors. His impasto technique and warm palette are distinctive traits of his style. Though he maintained a discreet profile, his works can be found in private collections in Mallorca and Catalonia.
