Birth on July 17th, 1850 in Kassel
Died on May 16th, 1919 in Munich
Painter of genre scenes, portraitist, landscapes and flowers.
Eduard Niczky was the son of an engineer. He studies starting from November 1871 at the royal academy of Arts to Munich in the workshop of Arthur Von Ramberg (1819-1875). He especially pointed out himself by his many genre scenes and portraits which are still today in the private collections in the whole world. Niczky was member of the Society of the Munich artists. His son was the painter and graphic designer Rolf Niczky and his nephew the photographer Joe Niczky.
