About the Item

African Boy is a series of paintings by talented artist Faith Gbadero. This series of Artworks captures the response and attitudes of African young adults to the struggles and roller coaster of feelings they pass through. Growing into adulthood has its demands and responsibilities; societal expectations, rejections, peer pressure, failure, success, moving out of your comfort zone, relationships, heartbreak, and others. Amidst striving to live the good life desired, we embrace the ups and downs as they contribute to our growth on our journey to fulfillment. The rise and fall of man refer to success and failure. We all have moments of triumph and moments of defeat, and these experiences shape who we are and how we approach life. Success can bring confidence and motivation, while failure can lead to introspection and growth. The key is to learn from both experiences and continue moving forward, regardless of the outcome. The natural cycles of life illustrate the rise and fall of man. Birth, growth, maturity, and eventually death are part of the universal human experience. While we may not have control over the timing or circumstances of these events, we can choose how we respond to them. We can embrace life's challenges and opportunities, appreciate the good times, and find meaning and purpose in the face of adversity. As an African Boy, even when we fall, we rise again!
