Contemporary pixelated portrait painting of Emiliano Zapata, the Mexican revolutionary who was a leading figure in the Mexican Revolution of 1910–1920. Similar to pointillism, the individual hand-painted blocks of color come together to form the image when viewed from afar. Painted on a clear polystyrene layer, the piece comes to life when framed.
Signed in the front lower right corner. Currently hung in a black frame.
