This is a painting with mixed media collage by French artist Françoise Collandre.
A graduate from the Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Métiers d'Arts in Paris, Françoise Collandre entered the fine art workshops in the city of Paris in painting and engraving and has exhibited since 1981.
For Françoise Collandre, the painting is an object of reverie. She stated : “after so many years of drawing, of painting, I managed to escape from reality.” So for her, everything is possible and turns into a Waltz, and that’s life.
Through prismatic play of color and light, subtle composition, and acrylic substance enhanced by gossamer-like collages, and by playing with disorganized elements such as books, bodies, objects extended to everything that appear to her new way of looking at life, she leads us to an imaginary world, where she invites us to feel, to see and to be filled with emotion.
