condition: very good, a few light age related scuffs around the edges which would cover with a frame.

Straight out of the Belle Epoque period of France (1871-1914), this charming portrait of a young lady, dressed in a silk pink dress, no doubt off for a night at the theatre or a ball. The painting has light, fluid brushwork that captures her features beautifully, as well as soft light as it falls upon her dress. A stunning and original work - both signed and dated to the upper right corner.
