Josep Serrasanta
Josep Serrasanta was born in Buenos Aires (Argentina) in 1916 - 1998 Valdoreix (Barcelona), to Catalan parents of Spanish nationality. His father was from Guissona and his mother from Vilamitjana. He studied Fine Arts, later he was a disciple of the great painter Francesc Gimeno. Main works painted by the Artist: The Three Domes of the Cathedral and the Church of Sant Pere, both from Lleida, the first won by opposition. The Church of Santa Maria de Castelldefels (Barcelona) and others in Terrassa and Sabadell (Barcelona) painted on the temple, fresco and oil. Cannes International Grand Prize (1964). The French Government awarded him the "Grand Croix du Commandeur au Mérite National Française".
