A fine Russian School portrait from the mid 20th Century showing a handsome young man in military cadet attire. He has a shock of auburn hair sticking out from his cap which enhances the blue strip of the horizon. I well composed and skilled portrait. The artist has initialed in Cyrillic to the lower right corner and the painting has been attractively presented in a 20th Century gilt frame with foliate molding and a linen slip. On canvas board.
