A wonderful portrait of a young boy seated in his room looking out over the expansive landscape.
Painted circa 1840 this piece has all the style of middle European art. French, Swiss, Southern German, and even Austrian painters all painted in this manner. The quality of the figure is first-rate and the skill of the artist of obvious.
The piece is an oil on wooden panel and had been framed in a very decorative manner. Showing the edges of the painting, it has been floated on top of hand-made marbled paper.
This is the perfect piece for almost any room in a house, a study, bedroom, den, hallway, or entrance.
A great addition to any collection and home decor.
