An avid fisherman and all around outdoorsman, Scott Yeager offers a visual diary of his love for the outdoors through his paintings. Firsthand experience of the subject is at the core of his work, and he creates a constant flow of plein-air paintings as a result. Many of these stand on their own as works of art, and many are the springboard for more developed and larger works in the studio. In his youth, Scott filled sketchbooks with drawings and paintings of plants, animals and all things of the natural world that inspire him. He could often be found seated beside a marsh or river with a field scope and a sketchpad, studying the forms and rhythms of waterfowl. In his adulthood, Scott studied at the Scottsdale Artists School in Arizona, and has sought individual study with other artists. Scott has exhibited in the Scottsdale Art Auction, the Leigh Yawkey Woodson Art Museum’s well known “Birds in Art” exhibition; he has been judged into the Arts for the Parks exhibition sponsored by the National Parks Academy of the Arts, and he has been selected to exhibit in several shows at the Bennington Center for the Arts in Vermont including: “Impressions of New England” and “Small Works and Art of the Animal Kingdom”. Scott’s travels take him to many parts of the country form Maine in the East, to Alaska in the West. Most of his favorite destinations are in the Rocky Mountains and the Southwest. Scott resides in Woodland Park, Colorado with his wife Marie and their son Joseph.

Boulder Canyon, Colorado Autumn Landscape Oil Painting by Irene Fowler, 1940s
By Irene Fowler
Located in Denver, CO
This vintage 1940s oil on canvas painting by Colorado artist Irene Fowler (1884–1969) beautifully captures the vibrant autumn landscape of Boulder Canyon. With a masterful eye for color and atmosphere, Fowler presents majestic mountain peaks framed by glowing Aspen trees in their fall brilliance, their leaves shimmering in radiant shades of gold, orange, and red. The scene reflects both the serenity and dramatic character of Colorado’s rugged wilderness, offering a timeless vision of the Rocky Mountains.
Fowler’s keen observation of light and painterly brushwork bring the landscape vividly to life, evoking the crisp mountain air and golden glow of a Colorado autumn day. Her ability to balance natural grandeur with intimate detail makes this work an exceptional example of early 20th-century Western American painting.
The painting itself measures 22 ¼ x 18 ¼ inches and is presented in a custom gilded frame with outer dimensions of 25 ¼ x 21 ¼ x 1 ½ inches, enhancing its elegance and making it ready for display. Signed by the artist in the lower right corner.
