Signed on the front.
It is said that on a cold and rainy autumn day, the roman soldier Martin, heading to Tours in France, found a helpless beggar. He cut half of his cloak to protect him from the storm and continued on his way. Not far from there he found a second beggar to whom he gave what was left of his cloak. In the rain and cold, the generous Martin continued his journey, being surprised by the sudden change in weather.
It got hot, the sun came out.
Even today we call these warm autumn days “Saint Martin's Summer”.
