About the Item
"This still life was painted in early summer, when my favorite peonies are in full bloom and fresh, ripe strawberries appear. I set myself several artistic challenges in this work: combining different bouquets into a single composition and painting white peonies against a light background.", said Daria about this artwork.
"The painting was created over several sessions. Some areas were left in an alla prima technique, with visible untouched canvas to preserve freshness. In other places, I developed the form more deliberately, adding texture and depth with a palette knife, and finishing with glazing layers in the final stage.
I used a variety of painting tools in this work — stiff wide brushes, a palette knife, and soft brushes for translucent glazes."
The piece fits beautifully into both light and dark interiors, adding a sense of warmth and refinement. It works especially well in a dining room, bedroom, or living space. It pairs equally well with a natural wood frame or a classic gold one.
Because the painting is large, shipping in a rolled format is preferred. However, it can also be shipped mounted on a stretcher if desired.

Daria Molostnova lives and works in Hawaii, where she discovered the true beauty of the surrounding world. Her paintings reflect the local reality, expressed through her personal cultural code. A graduate of the Russian State University of Design and Applied Arts named Stroganoff, she earned her master's degree, blending the traditions of classical education with a contemporary artistic perspective.
Daria grew up in a family of professional artists, her mother being a renowned designer and lead doll artist of the Soviet Union. Since 1997, Daria has been a member of the Moscow Union of Artists, and since 1998, a member of the International Union of Journalists.
She has taught at the Russian-Italian Art School Perotti and the Correspondence People's University of Arts. She has conducted numerous workshops both in Russia and abroad, as well as team-building activities for companies such as Harpers Bazaar, Mercedes, and Coca-Cola.
Daria has participated in international artist residencies in such countries as Bosnia, France, and Italy. She is a participant in many Russian and international art fairs, competitions, and exhibitions. Currently, she collaborates with galleries in Hawaii and California.
Her works are held in several Russian museums, as well as in private collections both in Russia and abroad. 2025 her painting "Big Storm" won the first prize in the art competition of the Plein Air Magazine in US.
