About the Item

Artist Comments
In this series of abstract botanicals, artist DL Watson pours and mixes acrylic paints directly on the surface, creating vibrant blends and patterns. Using negative painting techniques, the DL covers select areas to reveal floral and botanical shapes, allowing them to emerge from the surrounding color. The result is a bold, modern take on nature’s forms, where each piece reflects the beauty and complexity of the natural world.

About the Artist
DL Watson creates semi-abstract paintings with floral and botanical references. Splitting her time between Florida and Oregon, she finds inspiration in the patterns that repeat themselves throughout the natural world. While her paintings are often grounded in her own childhood memories and past experiences, they evoke a beauty that is universal in their natural subject matter. She creates interest and intrigue through the color and movement that she uses to balance her composition.
