An elegantly muted still-life showing a dramatically lit view of a pear and a lemon, set side-by-side on a lilac tablecloth and contrasted against a scumbled, charcoal background.
Elena Ryznar received her Bachelor of Fine Arts (B.F.A.), in Art History, and the Visual Arts from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and studied scientific illustration at California State University, Monterey Bay. She later studied in Big Sur with Erin Gafill and Tom Birmingham.
